HTTP/HTTPS MODULE
The HTTP and HTTPS protocols allow you to set up a secure connection to anyone in minutes with a web browser. The module enables the HTTP and HTTPS protocols in EFT, allowing you to support browser-based transfers without having to install a web server. (HTTP/HTTPS connectivity is included in EFT Enterprise.)
Secure, Browser-Based Transfers Without a Web Server
The HTTPS module for EFT enables you to support secure Internet file transfers without having to install a web server.
Securely Connect with Clients Over the Web
HTTPS is used to access secure Web servers when authentication and encrypted communication is desired. Using HTTPS instead of HTTP directs the message to a secure port number rather than the default Web port number of 80. HTTPS encrypts the session data using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol, which ensures protection from eavesdroppers and man-in-the-middle attacks.
Transferring Files with a Browser
Enabling HTTPS transfers in EFT is as easy as selecting a checkbox. All user and folder settings are inherited from the server settings. Standard Browse and Upload buttons make copying a file to EFT as easy as adding a picture to an eBay auction. The HTTPS support in EFT enables cost-effective security for file exchange that’s easy for your trading partners to use.
